Hi,

I am a sophomore and just transferred from homeschooling.

Here is what I am taking it right now

Archeology(taking this because I attend a catholic private school)
Am Lit 2
Calculus H
Calculus ( Haven't finished the homeschooling one yet u,u)
Economics
Integrated Science ( Yeah... I know)
Pe

I am also planning to take dual enrollment at my local college in the summer for Biological Sciences and maybe American gov just to get it out of the way. Also, I have already taken 3 years of horrid Spanish.

Here is my dream schedule to get Junior year though:

Mandatory Religious Course
Calculus Ab( Thinking about Bc , I was planning on taking AB junior and BC senior year but I have a felling BC might just be AB + New info combined)
Lit honors (AP Just seems like a waste of time, I hate "school" type literature and would only take it if it's extremely recommend. Weird thing is though I do love to read fantasy books and you will always catch me reading one.)
Chem Ap
Physics Honors ( I think I can take chem and physics at the same time)
Statistics H/AP? ( Taking statistics , Calc, and physics sounds pretty stupid but not sure)
Whatever Ap history class is next after American gov (Ap of course0

What College?
Um.. Not really sure, just want the best of the best. I want to do something like Engineering and mabbyyyee a Archeologist. And studying abroad in Europe or whatever is A DREAMM. Also 4.0 gpa but afraid I might be getting a B in the homeschooling Calc( procrastinated and screwed up.)

Plz review..
Thanks~

Definitely take Calculus BC, especially since you’re interested in engineering. Calculus AB is more for people who’ve never had any calculus before, and you wrote that you’re taking regular calculus during sophomore year.

I recommend AP Lit or AP Lang if they’re offered. Colleges want you to take the most rigorous courses possible for you.

AP Stats is supposed to be one of the easier AP courses.

What math are you taking during senior year, if you take Calc BC junior year? Dual enrollment?

“Whatever Ap history class is next after American gov”

There’s not any set order they go in, so you could take any, but I think World is seen as less challenging than the other AP history classes.

Thanks for replying so quickly ,
-For lit the thing is I keep on hearing how horrible that teacher is
-Still unsure about stats , do you think it’s smart to be taking all thoughs math related courses at one time
- Unsure about that but BC calc is the last thing they go up to and not sure if they allow dual enrollment like that, have to ask. If not, prob gonna switch schools if everything goes as planned.
- Ap euro it is then
-Oh also need to check if they even have Ap stats not even sure

“do you think it’s smart to be taking all thoughs math related courses at one time”

Probably depends on you. In my experience, AP sciences don’t have a lot of homework/busywork, but they can be conceptually difficult at times. That works well for some people but not others.
But if you’re going to take Stats you may as well do AP Stats. There’s probably not a huge difference.

Bumb, would like more reviews on this.

Are you a math oriented person? Do you catch on easily and quickly to the concepts? If yes, then your schedule seems fine. But if no, then I would advise against it. Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, and Stats are all mathematical courses so I would only take them all at the same time if you understand and enjoy math.

Is it possible to go to an Ivy League with this schedule or do i have to take harder courses? I know an Ivy League judges on a lot more but is this the first step ?

Have to do chem honors before ap
