hey there,

I am a senior and my current schedule is as follows:

honors calculus
AP english literature
AP Psychology
honors physics
honors Spanish iv
honors gov
honors econ

I can't stand my physics teacher and her annoying learning style she's forcing on me. (ever hear of an "interactive" notebook? ew.) I am bored with Spanish and I have a strong desire to learn advanced physics. However seeing as ap physics c (the course I want to take) is 2 periods, I will have to drop one of my classes and I am willing to drop Spanish. I took 3 years of Spanish but I know colleges like to see 4 years. I want AP physics though. should I just drop Spanish altogether and take ap physics and just take the ap Spanish Lang exam at the end of the year anyway to make up for a 4th year of a foreign language?

thanks!!

Depending on what schools you’re applying to and what you want to major in, the language thing might not matter too much. Don’t deny yourself a class you want to take for the sake of ensuring that you’ll get into a college.

I really want to know what an interactive notebook is now.

Onmyway, thank you! And no I am definitely not getting rid of a class I want to take. I changed schools this year and now I am just bored with Spanish. I had a wonderful Spanish teacher last year and without her it’s just not the same. I honestly don’t know what I want to go into yet for college, but I am really attracted to higher level physics and I love calc. The funny thing is that throughout my high school career I’ve taken regular math and struggled a lot with it, and this year I am taking honors calc and getting an A+ in it? I wonder why. Is it possible that I just work better with complexity or something?

And lol, an interactive notebook is like, a notebook in which we have to glue all of our handouts, number the pages, and each page has to be set up so that there is a cue column, a notes column, and a summary section. It has to be super colorful because my teacher is obsessed with color and everything has to look absolutely pristine or you get a horrible grade. The left side pages are called “output” pages and the right side pages are called “input” pages. Plus in the back of our notebook she made us write our name vertically and write an adjective that describes us for each letter in our name…And then color it…like *** lol
So that’s an interactive notebook for you lol
