My senior year schedule (not block) was submitted as

AP Calculus BC
AP English IV
AP Macroecon / AP Govt (semesters)
AP Physics C
AP Statistics
Choir (top)
Theatre (top)

...but it turns out there is only one Calculus BC class and it is the same period as choir. I dropped Calculus as I am very committed to our choir program and I already have another math class. This left me with first period blank, and this is where my dilemma begins: my counselor has offered to give me a free period for first. I would love to have this, as I have recently started exercising (SS + cardio) this summer in the mornings, and it would ease right in once the school year begins. It also offers much needed rest when musical season starts (big deal in Houston area). My only concern is that my schedule already has two non-academic courses and a third might seem imprudent to colleges. I can see myself managing an additional AP class, but I can also see myself overwrought with ec's and college as well.

EXTRA INFO:
My #1 school is Rice
GPA = 5.3543
Rank = 7/644
SAT = 2300
School starts at 7:20

What are your opinions? Should I squeeze in the extra course? Or have I been brainwashed by CC'ers taking 10 AP classes?
