im a rising JR and the last spot in my schedule can be one of two things...

1) AP Comp Sci
2) Semester 1: Psychology
Semester 2: Race and Ethnicity

I would get an A/A+ in the 2nd option. But in first option I would get an A-/A and also it would be the same teacher I had for my Sophomore year math class. I was thinking if I take AP comp sci as a JR I would have him write my college recommendation. If I wouldn't take it JR year, I would take it SR year. Which one would be better?

Couple thoughts. First don’t choose your references in advance, choose whatever teacher you think 1). Thinks highly of you 2). knows you 3). Is willing to do the TE.

If you are looking at a comp sci major its good to get some programming experience, but realize most schools aren’t going to excuse your first year programming class due to an AP grade. In other words, if you take it now you will likely take it again in college.

The other classes dont look like they are college level, so I don’t like them either.

If you are going comp sci make sure your math is at least through pre calc, and consider taking on calc if its college level (can transfer to college).
