scheduling conflict : need help

My school can't fit in all the classes I want to take so here goes.
I wanted to take honors Spanish 4, but it doesn't fit into my schedule, so I will take AP Spanish, instead. However, i hate this class. should I simply ditch Spanish and take only 3 years of a language/

I was going to take College prep calculus- :( because i'm terrible with math. However, instead of taking an average class... I could take a class at the community college during the summer (more time to study); I would still get a grade. However, would it look bad that math is not on my schedule for senior year?

With my plans I would be taking
Ap Psych ( if I can take math at CC)
Ap Lit
AP Spanish ( realy don't want to)
Ap Chemistry
AP Enviromental Scince

Honors Physics

Does my schedule look too easy for an advanced student?

Any advice welcome!

Self-discipline and the amount of work someone can handle vary from person to person. It might help us if we could see your most recent courseload, your ability to do well in each course, and the amount of time you must commit to extracurricular activities.

If you are not strong in math, I’m not sure that taking a CC class is a great idea, unless you know that the teaching is solid.
I think no language and no math would look a bit odd.
Three science courses? Are you really interested in science?

Any idea on what you might be interested in majoring in?

If you are thinking about majoring in a science, then not having math your senior year will hurt you once you hit college since you will have to take some kind of math in college.

Even if you don’t plan on majoring in math, many colleges, including many (most?) of the highly selective ones, require a semester of mathematics as part of their general education requirements.

For students who identify themselves as “terrible with math”, not doing any math for a year makes taking a required math class freshman year of college even harder since their skills will be really rusty by the time they take the college math course.

ismailcc, here ais my recent courseload.

AP US History -A all three quarters
AP Language - A all three quarters
Spanish 3 Honors- A all three quarters
Ap Biology A, all three quarters (3rd quarter scraped by with an A)
Honors Precalc - A first 2 quarters, then as things got hard third quarter low B, scraped by almost C,
thats my schedule…

I am ambivalent about science…
Sigh, should I just go with the regular Calc class at school during the year and lose my loved Ap Psych?

^^ If you are ambivalent about science and interested in Psych, could you drop AP Chem or AP Enviromental or honors physics and pick up AP Psych?

Are you thinking about majoring in Psychology? or another social science? Does your HS offer AP Stats? If so, you might find AP Stats more to your liking than the regular calculus class and if you pass the AP Stats test, you just might not have to take another math course in college.

AP stats would work well with AP Psych, I think. Math in the summer is also fine - just be sure that it gets explained somewhere on your application - perhaps in the letter from your counselor. You’d hardly be the first high school student who had to make a compromise for the sake of scheduling!
