Due to certain classes only being offered during specific periods of the day, I must decide between taking French 4 honors and Yearbook. I have taken french since my freshman year and I've only taken one year of yearbook thus far--I'm a rising senior. However, I love both classes. If I choose to stay in yearbook I will be made co-editor. If I stay in french 4, I stay in a class that I have been looking forward to taking and I have the consistency of four years of a foreign language. What do you think is the better option? It's a shame I can't take both, but nothing in my schedule can be moved.

i would definitely go with the french.

at my school you can independent study a class. if you’re willing to do the extra load (and yes its hard) you should look into independent studying french and then taking your yearbook class.

Thanks very much for the reply! This is actually what I’m considering doing; it seems to be the best option. How would one go about doing this?

If you’re looking for advice from the perspective of college admissions, colleges would rather see French. However, if you want to make your decision based solely on what you enjoy the most – well, we can’t really answer that for you.

Yearbook is useless, take French.
