I am having trouble deciding which schedule to go with b/c I am worried that schedule #1 is too math/history focused and schedule #2 is weaker (in terms of academic rigor) than that of schedule #1.

Schedule #2 will be good for me in that if I pass all my ap exams/community college classes, I will have enough college credits by the time I enroll in college to have a junior status as a freshman. But I prefer schedule #1 b/c I figure I need to complete Calc BC and another advanced math course before I go to college (prospective math/econ major).

I can't take Calc BC and another advanced math course if I take AP Physics b/c AP Physics in our school is extremely tough. So.. which schedule should I take?

Regardless of which schedule I take, I can self-study one AP subject. Can you guys recommend me an AP subject that is relatively easy to self study for and that does not require an actual textbook?

I have already taken: world, calc AB, environmental sci, US history, english lang, biology, econ (at CC), and art history (1st semester at CC)

I was thinking: US gov (since I will be taking honors anyways), comp gov (I heard the ethel woods cram book is really good), and human geo.. Any opinions?

if you’ve taken environmental science…i would take human geography + comparative government (ETHEL WOODS!)

psych is easy too (just terminology) but i recommended human geo and comp govt because alot of envisci overlaps with human geo. comp govt and US govt go hand in hand as well kind of and comp govt was a VERY interesting course for me. you just need ethel woods and knowledge of the world :].

mind you, human geo is a lot of terminology too but i didnt need to learn anything new because i already knew it all from sociology, intl business, comp govt, model UN and envisci classes.

btw, if you are a rising senior…why self study easy APs? you dont get credit for a lot of them anyway and colleges wont know you self studied until its too late…

I don’t recommend self studying APs just for the sake of looking good for colleges if you’re a senior. If you want the credit, then that’s cool, but otherwise you’d just be wasting your time.

I think you should go with schedule 1 for the math. BUT I would caution you against taking that many APs. It’s your senior year and you’re not going to want to do 4 or 5 AP tests come May.

So Calc BC + Linear Algebra/Multi. Calc + Honors Physics = better than AP Physics C right? Alright I am leaning toward schedule 1..

I don’t mind taking 4 or 5 AP tests come May (maybe I will change my mind if and when senioritis hits me), but as of now, I am sure I can handle these APs. Also I hate being in easy classes and tend to do poorly on those (like PE) because I slack off when I am not academically challenged enough. Hmm.. can any of those APs: comp gov, US gov, psych, and human geo, be mastered in a week’s time? I could get Ethel Woods book for comp gov and barrons for human geo easily, which cram books are good for US gov and psych?

Alright.. but the thing is honors physics in our school is a joke compared to AP physics, I will definitely learn a lot about physics if I take AP and I might need this since I will most likely major in math/econ (math majors have to take physics right?) I like schedule 1 too, but I am afraid I might struggle with physics classes when I go to college.

Can someone recommend good prep books for psych and US gov? I am leaning towards self-studying comp gov or US gov
