It looks like over the summer another section of a class I signed up for got added. This gives a few more options to change my schedule. I'm not really sure what to do.

My current schedule is as follows:
beginning arabic M W 200-315
modern algebra T F 250-405
classical mechanics T Th 1025-1140
honors java T Th 900-1015
java lab Th 125-240
prob and stats T F 125-240

So, most of my classes are on Tuesday and Thursday. What changed is that another section of prob and stats got added. Its on tuesday and thursday from 415-530 there is also another lab for honors computing on tuesdays from 125-240.

I've been thinking about dropping the prob and stats I'm signed up for now, and signing up for the one on tuesday and thursday. I would only have 1 class on fridays then. I would also have a larger gap between classes. I probably won't change my computing lab.

I wish they would offer more classes on mondays, wednesdays, and fridays. The past 2 years my schedule has worked out pretty well, but this upcoming year I wasn't so lucky in terms of being able to spread my classes out.

That would work, but here’s the other side of it:

you could just go ahead and get everything over with. Sometimes when you have those breaks you’re just stuck hanging around campus anyway, and when you have to go back for later classes you’ll probably be just as likely to not like that kind of schedule.

Well I’ve done the back to back classes thing before. The only thing though is that I did it in the morning. I would have history from 9 to 10:15 and then topology from 10:25 to 11:40. Sometimes it would be a problem if I didn’t sleep enough the night before because I wouldn’t be able to make it through topology, so I would skip and sleep.

I think having the gap will help me more. I’ve found on days with tons of classes I don’t usually get any work done because I’m burned out from being in class all day, and that having gaps between classes helps me relax. I expect to get a majority of my work done on monday, wednesday, and friday just based on past experience with class heavy days such as tuesday and thursday.

As for the going back part, I don’t think it will matter much. I live in an off campus apartment, but really it is directly across the street from a building that is considered on campus. My campus is pretty small too, so walking isn’t a problem.
