I just got an e-mail about officially registering for classes. It says if your proposed schedule was approved you can do this on August 1st. Does anyone know when on August 1st you can do this? Midnight? I'm worried about not getting the classes I want so I want to do it as early as I can.

Well, for normal scheduling students are randomly assigned start times based on the last two digits of their ID number. I doubt that's the case here, though. Just email your advisor and ask.

Believe me, it doesn't matter. They will probably enable it around 8 or 10 AM on August 1st.

Oh, it can be hard to get into popular sections of 76-101 if there are no reservations for your major in the section you want. The Mac sections of CSW went quickly last year, as did the 15-113 sections. (Says someone who, by virtue of being a CS major, registered after everyone except CS majors last year)

does anybody know about MCS's scheduling policy? i have not gotten any emails about scheduling from anyone.

My (I'm in H&SS) schedule was just posted up (sometime in the last few hrs since I last checked) so if you are in h&ss and are curious you might want to check sio (http://acis.as.cmu.edu/sio/)

yea, my schedule was put up on SIO a couple of days ago, and when i graphed it out on the pulse thing, i found out how uneven my schedule is. on tuesdays and thursdays i have a combined 3 classes, while i have tons on the other three days. the schedules i have seen from other people are more evenly spread out. is my schedule normal? btw im in MCS.

You seem to be taking a lot of classes that are typically MWF. However, 99-101 and 15-100 both have some TR sections, so you might try switching to one of them and moving up 76-101.
