Scheduling Issues- Audit AP Lang or just take AP Bio

SO I have a dilemna. My school, last year, suddenly decided to make a new rule that only juniors could be allowed to take AP Language and Composition. The reason is that it apparently counts as an English III equivalent course- which doesn’t make any sense at all? It’s like comparing apples to bananas- the other classes focus on fiction while AP Lang focuses on nonfiction writing.

Since I am a senior, I cannot take AP Lang for credit or have it count towards my four years of English. Now, I’m forced to make a decision between: Humanities Honors or a Eng 101/102 course at the community college. I would take AP Lit, but I heard there is a lot of work (way more reading than Lang) and I’m not too fond of the teacher teaching the course. My AP Lang teacher said I should take Eng 101/102 at the community college, since the first semester is similar to AP Lang.

SO if I do take community college course, should I audit AP Lang- just for the experience?
The only thing is I want to take AP Bio and the lab period is during AP Lang period.
I do plan to write the AP Lang exam still, but I could self study with help from the teacher.

So should I audit AP Lang and self study for AP Bio or just take AP Bio and self study for AP Lang?

The latter. Auditing AP Lang is just a time suck on your part, and, IMO, it’s difficult to self study any of the core AP science classes. Plus, I really don’t see how you plan to self study the labs, which will be on the exam.

Take AP Bio.
Take the community college course so you can get HS credit.

Yeah, that is what I ended up doing. I was taking Humanities, but I have way too much summer hw to makeup and that work is then used for the rest of the first semester and I do not think I will be able to do a good enough job in 2 weeks on the work- I want to make sure I also take good notes for me to use for rest of semester…
