Hey everyone,
I have my list done. I just need your opinions on the english course.
AP Bio
AP Calc AB
AP Psych
Band Honors
Science Research Honors
I am not taking spanish because I’m not in upper level classes (so study hall)
No more gym, so 2 study hall days out of the 4 rotation days
English Options:
-AP Seminar (new class but teacher is “hard” and a lot of writing I assume. AP Exam is individual and group research paper and presentation)
-Honors Research Writing (basically 2nd half of AP Capstone program but the school hasn’t made it AP yet so it is just an honors class. Talked to students, said difficult because of teacher. Lots of papers.)
2 Half Years- Honors World Literature and Honors Modern Poetry
Right now I’m only taking two APs (Lit and Gov) so I am afraid that 4 APs will be too much for next year. Do you know if it’s managable? Psych is memorization and Bio is also memorization and a lot of chapter notes/work. I’ve talked to students and they said Bio will either be hard or easy (some people get straight Cs in a row).
Then on the other hand, I should take the AP Seminar because it exposes me to college level research writing and presentation skills (I’m a shy bird by the way). I wouldn’t mind taking the other honors options as well. I’m asking if the AP is worth it. Also I have one study hall (3/4 rotation days), in which some days I might have double study hall from the gym periods.
I need a study hall because it’s senior year and APPS! But I could always take an extra honors class like sociology, philosophy, or world lit in place of the study hall for the HALF year (post college apps hopefully) just for fun.
Thanks!
EDIT: I’d like to add that my GPA is sub-standard because of APUSH and Algebra 2 H last year. The only class I’m having trouble with now is physics H.
