Scholars Day - this weekend

You can choose honors suite mates ?

Could when d was freshman. Now someone said the now only allow freshmen to pick a roommate. Housing changes constantly it seems. Housing fb page is good place for general questions.

Hi, I’m a current freshman here at Carolina. Out of state student who lives in Capstone! This year students were not able to choose suite mates.

The Capstone program here is amazing. We do so many incredible things. I went skydiving with them, I go on community service projects, have listened to some incredible speakers, and have enjoyed the social events as well.

My U101 class was awesome. I took David Deweil (Assistant Principal of the Capstone Scholars program) and we learned a lot about the university, without having to do much work. I would recommend taking his U101 class over anyone else if your child is a Capstone Scholar.

If anyone has any questions, let me know! I love Carolina with all my heart, and I’m involved with Capstone, the business school, and other aspects of campus.

Of interest to capstone scholars…at Awards Day yesterday the Algernon Sydney Sullivan awards were presented to graduating seniors (a guy and gir). The guy was a capstone scholar and very impressive guy! This is the highest sevice/leadership award the school gives (it’s given at some other schools but not everywhere).

^I actually know the guy who won that award. He’s all around a really awesome dude. He’s headed off to medical school in the fall and he’s one of the most talented, friendly, and honest people I’ve ever met. He’s such a well-liked person that over 100 people liked his status about choosing which medical school to attend. He just really has a heart for service.

Definitely an example of a person who took the opportunities presented to him at USC and made the most of them.
