So I'm an out of state student who wants to go to either UCLA or Berkeley, problem is the tuition is so dang high for OOS. So I plan to go to a CCC and pay their out of state tuition, claim my residency in those two years and then transfer out. I've been looking around and I plan on applying for the UCLA TAP program that requires you to take honor courses. I've had experience with rigorous courses (currently taking 5 AP classes), and was wondering how much work, or how hard is it. I see many people maintain high GPAs, but it still worries me. By the way, I plan on applying to the Scholars program for both Santa Monica C, and Glendale CC.
