Okay so here is the situation!
I have been living in the US for the past 4 years with our Asylum case in process which was denied, so now my parents are working on some other ways to get he immigration situation settled. But while all that is going on I am an "undefined student". I graduated June 2008, and just started my 1st semester at a community college. Right now I am paying out of state tuition staright from my pocket by working full time. Due to the money issue I have to work full time to support my own education with absolutely no help! I got accepted to great schoolsbut could'nt go to any because of the financial issue. I tried contacting schools that offer international student aid but none that was enough due to the out of state tuition rate!
I am really frustrated and upset because I am not sure how i will pay for my next semester as of yet, I already have a friend loan to repay...All the scholarships out there seem to be just for US citizens or permanent residents...I have applied for a few that are dont have a residency restraint on them but only got one $500 scholarship! I have tried everywhere from "maldef" to "fastweb" but of no help!!
Do you guys have absolutely any suggestions?!! I dont know if I should just take a student loan....because considering out of state tuition it could come out to be aLOT! please help....

You are in a tough situation, and have all my sympathy. Until your legal status is straightened out, you should cut back on your courses at the community college. You are fortunate to be able to work full time. So, do that and go to school part time instead of trying to be a "regular" student right now. That way you won't have so many money worries. I know this isn't the way you really want it to be, but this is the way it is. Concentrate on your long-term goal. You will achieve it in the end.
