I live in NY am hoping that i may get one (although it is quite unlikely).</p>

<p>Out here on the West Coast my EA son is not in the group which will get a UofC merit but my wife mailed an Express letter to downstate Il on Wed which still has not been delivered as of Sat morning so there maybe some hope for you out here on the Coast.</p>

<p>RD acceptance letters have a merit scholarship letter, if you were selected. EA applicants got a separate letter w/just the merit scholarship letter, sent the same day as RD acceptances. This is based on Libby's blog post of Wed. 3//19 and what a couple of RD posters have said about how they were notified of merit $$.</p>
<p>They come in the envelope they use to send the newspaper that they keep sending. I got it today dated 3/19, seperate as i got in EA and I got the 10k one not the full one. HOw many of each did they send out?</p>

<p>Our honor scholarships are among the oldest merit awards in the country. Seeking to recognize applicants for their outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, demonstrated leadership, and commitment to their communities, the College Honor Scholarship provides full tuition awards to 20 highly qualified entering freshmen. Scholarships are guaranteed for four years. College Honor Scholarships cover the entire cost of tuition. Around 100 University Scholarships are given out each year, and they cover around a third of tuition.</p>
