<p>I was looking on the UT website the other day to check on their scholarships and the notification dates. There were a few general university scholarships and Texas Exes scholarships that everyone is considered for when they apply. When do we know if we receive these scholarships? I already have a notification from the College of Natural Sciences for an academic scholarship. Did they already notify the winners for Texas Exes?</p>
<p>You can be notified of most scholarships when they give you your financial aid package. Most people who have received their package so far appear to have an EFC of 0, have other circumstances, or were exceptionally qualified. The last two are only assumptions because they got their package despite not having an EFC of 0. They received them around a week or two ago. According to the aid status page, people will continue to receive them throughout this month for the majority, some in May, and a few during the summer. There is no exact date, and they may even send it after the deadline for accepting admission. </p>
<p>The package includes the Texas grants and scholarships like the top 10% scholarship, pell grants, loans, etc. Over two weeks ago, they sent out letters for the President’s Achievement Scholarship (the one you apply for in your app), which were and will be only sent out once (from an e-mail I sent asking about it). The PAS is also in the financial aid package total I believe.</p>
<p>And before that I think they’ve begun notifying people about honors and major specific scholarships. At least for engineering honors, they sent them out as letters at around that time.</p>
<p>I do not know about the winners for the Texas Exes.</p>
