Does anybody know if/when they are sending out scholarship notifications?
Looking at past threads, it seems as if the 10th is the latest they have sent them in the past.

Someone said that Monroe letters go out around this time.

They came out today.

did you get one today? how did you find out?

I’m an hour away from W&M and I got my acceptance/monroe scholar letter today.

I’m from northern virginia and I got one today as well.
:)

Congrats h3 and spectrum. What does this scholarship provide? Full tuition waiver? My son got a postcard a few days ago but no news since then.

I’m in NoVa and I got my letter today. Congrats everyone!

Monroe says “special housing option for your first year and a $3,000 stipend to be used prior to senior year”.

Money for research opportunities during a summer.

What are the grades/SATs of those who have made the Monroe Scholar’s program already? I’ve got a 3.95 and 2210, accepted early decision, and nothing came in the mail today -_-.

is there any correlation between those who received the postcard referenced in the earlier thread, and monroe recipients?

i got a postcard a couple weeks ago (a bit later than everyone else, as i’m on the other side of the country) and im reallllyyyyy hoping i can get a monroe, though i have no idea what the criteria is for this.

[James Monroe Scholars Program | Charles Center](http://web.wm.edu/charlescenter/monroe/monroescholars.php?svr=www) That describes how they pick the scholars…But it doesn’t say whether volenteer work or grades or SATs are more important in their decisions. All I know is that a friend of mine with lower grades and lower SAT scores just got his letter today, and I didn’t receive anything as of yet.

Nothing spectacular: 2180 SAT, 3.9UW/4.55W.

There’s hope for everyone…

I have a lot of random EC stuff though, so who knows.

2310, ~4.0UW/4.7W
learning for learning’s sake: i have more VCU creds than most sophomores

Same: 2310, 4.0/4.36

Congratulations to everyone!
