I'm an out of state hs student looking at UF and my gpa is 93 and the first sat I took I got a 1770 do you think I have a good possibility of getting big scholarship?

Probably not, UF doesn’t hand out many merit scholarships. Try to bring up your GPA and SAT so that you are even accepted, then worry about the scholarships.

No… You wouldn’t even make it in with those stats for out of state, let alone get a scholarship. Can’t tell if ■■■■■ or not. But if not, sorry if that sounds harsh

No i am not trolling I know someone from my school who got a 1440 on the sat and is going to UF and on the college ******* UF website it says that the average sat’s score are 1170-1360. I guess i was too hasty in thinking that most people who go to UF have these scores. I am just beginning to research colleges and admission requirements. So can anyone tell me what a solid score is to get into UF? Also i’m all the honor societies in my school and have played varsity soccer all three years (i will be a senior next school year) and i do choral and am involved in the drama club do you think these activities will increase my chance considerably?

Did you score 1770 on an 1800 or 2400 point scale? Most people use the 2400 now, which could be causing some confusion.

What does a “93” equate to on a 4.0 scale? That’s what UF uses for GPA.

Either way, auburntigers22 is correct in saying that UF does not hand out a lot of merit based scholarships, even to people with really good stats.

I applied as a CC transfer with a perfect GPA and tons of campus involvement and community service and didn’t get squat from UF in institutional financial aid.

The scores on UF website are based on a 1600 point scale, and you’re are based on a 2400 scale, so you have low scores. If they improve you won’t be accepted.

My friend is salutatorian, 5.44 GPA, 2200-2300 SAT and got ZERO in scholarships from UF. I know someone that was rejected from UF with a 2070 SAT and 4.4 GPA.

Ya bro you’re looking at the wrong scales… Smh… 1700 out of 2400 is a whole Lot different than 1360 out of 1600

so i actually did get into UF and am now seriously considering it. can those who attend UF give me some insight on student life there? I feel like student life at UM would be better but i’m very interested in UF. it just seems so big

I’s start a new thread on this topic, or at least search for the subject. I’d expect student life has been discussed before.
