Hello. I am a student from Kentucky who is interested in University of Pittsburgh. I was wondering how difficult is it to get scholarships from the University. I have a 98.something GPA, 2300 SAT, weak extracurriculars w/some leadership, and a few local awards. I've read about the Chancellor's Scholarship, but how good are the awards below that? I really like the school, but if I can't get a fair amount of money, i'm not sure I can attend. Any comments would be welcomed. Thanks in advance.

You probably have a very good shot at one of the scholarships that cover full tuition (20k/year, leaving about 10k/yr in room/board/fees).

Only when Sethe learns to confront the past head-on, to assert herself in its presence, can she extricate herself from its oppressive power and begin to live freely

I am having some trouble deciding between either

UT plan II honors in premed or Chancellor's Scholarship to UPitt. IF anyone could give advice with specific reasons it would be much appreciated.

Umm...Pitt..Not only is it cheaper, but Pitt has one of the best med schools (#13 I think)

I agree with the poster that you probably have an excellent chance of winning between 10 and 20 thousand dollars and some chance at even more.
I would definitely go for it as Pitt seems to have many more awards and is more generous than many many schools out there. You should definitely apply as the overall chances are good.
