Does anyone know Uconn tuition for fall 2011? I don't see it listed on their website, only 2010.

I know some people said that they have received 1/2 tuition scholarship. Some people said that they have received scholarshp of 12000 for 4 years...I think.

Is tuition 24000? Does the scholarship say 1/2 tuition or 12000? Or are these 2 different scholarships?

It hasn’t be determined yet. They will update when they do know, but I heard 3-4% more. It’s $8,064 now just for tution without fees and R & B.
My daughter’s last year got a leadership type scholarship, it came to covering tuition and not R & B. They sent them a notice later, if they maltriculated, they would give them the 2 or 3,000 more to cover the increase since the award was based on 2009 costs.

so if I understand you correctly there is no static dollar amount…its 1/2 tuition, and determined on the basis of the current tuition each year?

If that is true- its better for the students

That’s what it seemed like, but I don’t know for sure. I think it depends on whether it says, “12,000” or “half tuition”, “full tuition” etc. They also will cover their fees (which are numerous) for some students also.

I tend to think it changes with tuition changes. My daughter got full tuition, and although the letter says “totals $32,256.00, provididng you with $8064 for each of your four years of undergraduate study” it goes on to say “This amount has been determined based on the existing cost of attendance for the 2010 academic year. Once the University’s Board of Trustess determines the cost of attendance for the 2011 academic year, a revised letter indicating the new amount for this scholarship will be sent to you.” It would be great if they do cover some of the fees—the fees are horrendous in comparison to other schools we’ve looked at. I also was shocked at the application fee—it was higher than any other school she applied to.
