<p>I just decided to apply to UIUC, but it's Nov 2, one day past the priority deadline. Would I have less of a chance to get scholarships then?</p>

<p>Im not sure if it lowers your chances for scholarships significantly if you dont apply during the early deadline, but either way, I would suggest not getting your hopes up for a scholarship. UIUC isn't exactly know for giving away alot of scholarships, even for the strongest of applicants.</p>
<p>Actually OOS students have a fair share of getting a scholarship, especially if you have a strong SAT score. I got one and I'm certainly not extraordinary--just SAT most likely.</p>
<p>Scholarships do not depend on when you apply and for scholarships given by UIUC, you generally do not need to submit any special scholarship application. They are not overly generous on merit aid but with high scores as OOS you can often qualify for some relief on out-state-tuition.</p>
