Scholarships for a Girl with Autism

I have autism, and I'm also interested in electrical engineering at UCR. I have a 3.8 GPA. It might get to a 3.9, but it won't get lower. My family is in a though financial situation, and they had to spend my college savings to stay a float. I was wondering if there is any rull ride scholarships available for:

I. Students with Disabilities
II. Students with Some Financial Need
III. Student who is a Girl Wanting to Major in Engineering and Physics

Are you a high school student? Are you an African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American or Hispanic American? If so, you should consider applying for a Gates Millennium Scholars scholarship. The scholarships provide a full ride for both undergraduate and graduate study.

most scholarships are through schools- however there are programs for women in engineering as well.

No, I'm white. My dad doesn't have a full time job if that helps with my ability to get a scholarship.

Physicsteen,
I don't know which state you live in, but many states have varying degrees of scholarships/loans for vocational rehab situations. The best way to start looking into this may be your state's government website. I graduated from high school in 1974, and got a state voc rehab scholarship in South Carolina because I am a diabetic.
I think your intended major could also land you some good scholarship money at a lot of schools as well.
I now live in Tennessee, and there is a women's organization in Nashville called WITT-Women in Technology Tennessee that gives 2 scholarships a year to girls only who are interested in a science career. It is competitive, but usually only about 100 girls apply!
You might need to do an exaustive Internet search, but I bet you can find more than a few that are specific for autism or women in engineering.
Good luck in you search.
