Scholarships for Education Majors?!?

Hi all!
I'm new to the site and can't be happier to have finally found a forum such as this! I am so tired of all the scholarship sites that promise so much and deliver so little....
I have filled out countless surveys about myself in hopes of finally receiving a list of scholarships that I am eligible for - but most sites don't seem to get that because I live in Florida I am not, in fact, able to apply for scholarships in Oklahoma. Ggggrrr!!
OK. With that out of the way ...

Does anyone know of scholarships available specifically to people seeking a degree in Education - regardless of the school they attend? I am convinced such scholarships exist as students looking to be teachers are (1) very much in need and (2) unable to afford to pay off huge college-loans.

Thanks so much for your help!!
=) Ali

PS - I do know that some states/loan programs offer loan forgiveness for teachers - but the criteria (teaching in a low-income area) and the chances of qualifying seem hard to rely on.

the only ones i have heard about have been local and through greek organizations. i also have heard of some local private ones funded by past teachers or administrators. other than that though, i'm unaware of any national scholarships.

I don't know if you are still looking, but I ran across this site while looking for scholarships. It is specifically for Education Majors attending the University of Florida. I thought that it might be of some use. Good luck.
