Hi,

I'm transferring to a university this year as a junior from a community college. I would like to know whether anyone knows of scholarships that target transfer students such as the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation scholarship.

I meet full need for financial aid, and have a good record at my school.

Thanks!

Since I see from a past post that you're interested in UCLA, here is a possibility:

I found that from googeling 'community college transfer scholarship', there might be others...

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but some others are:

Guistwhite Scholarship: $5,000 ($2,500 for each of two years) for 20 Phi Theta Kappa members each year (http://scholarships.ptk.org/guistwhite/)

All-USA Academic Team: $2,500 (one-time) for 20 students every year, plus smaller awards for students who place lower in the scoring; like the Jack Kent Cooke, you need to be nominated by your college, and each college can only nominate two students ([Phi Theta Kappa - International Honor Society of the Two Year College](http://scholarships.ptk.org/aaat/announce.htm))

New Century Scholars: $2,000 (one-time) to the top community college student in each state; connected to All-USA scoring ([Phi Theta Kappa - International Honor Society of the Two Year College](http://scholarships.ptk.org/aaat/newcent.htm))

Along with the Jack Kent Cooke, which is absolutely the largest (up to $90,000) and most prestigious, those are the most selective ones. If you have any questions about any of them, please let me know!
