<p>I'm applying Early Action, my stats aren't that exceptional but I am wondering if I should really apply, I can't afford anything more than 10k a year. My family earns almost 4 digits a year. If scholarships are only given to really exceptional students then I'm not applying. </p>
<p>You mention your family income is around $10K? In general, UMich does not meet need or oos students, however, they do have quite generous aids to students from oos low income family. You should try the NPC to see if it is affordable to you. You should also visit the FA office website and look at their sample aids. It may be a pleasant surprise for you. Merit scholarships are for exceptional students, but need based aids are not.</p>
