Scholarships?

I was admitted to the U (CLA) a few weeks ago, and just today received a letter informing me that I was awarded a Gold National scholarship. Is there any possibility of receiving other scholarships separately?

I'm a NMF with 34 ACT and 3.9 GPA, so I was expecting more than 5000/year...

Buggyo…Congrats on your achieving NMF status, and on your acceptance to U of MN. If you haven’t spoken with them already, I’d strongly recommend you contact the National Merit Recruiter at the U and talk with her directly. She can probably give you the best info on whether or not additional scholarship money might be available for you. I don’t have any personal experience with the current recruiter (personnel have changed since last year) but the contact info on this linked page should get you started. If you name U of MN as your first choice school with NMSC by the deadline, you should be eligible for the Gold Scholar ($10K per year for NMF’s) as well as the University sponsored “official” NMSC scholarship worth $1K per year (up to $2K per year if you qualify for enough need based aid). Congrats again and good luck!!

I got a second scholarship letter separately, but it was for a smaller ($1000) scholarship, not a big one
