Trustee at SAS! Was hoping for Presidential, but eh, what can you do.
Has anyone heard anything about either the honors college or the honors programs? Are all the honors college invites already out?

Son received Trustee Scholarship today for RBS. Was invited to SAS honors a few weeks back.
Got trustees+.other scholarship . we are oos … if we relocate, we will become In state in second year . Then will they reduce from trustees and other scholarship from second year onward? or scholarships can be used for housing+dining
@butterfreesnd
Honors college invitations came out today already (or at least,I got mine in the mail today)
I got a Trustee for all three schools. How do you know if you got honors college as well? I thought only Honors college got trustee…
@colleger799 Honors college comes in the mail. And presidential scholarship automatically gets honors college but sometimes people with lower scholarships if there’s any room after all the presidential scholarships.
Trustee (13k) at SAS. Anyone know any way to transfer this to business?
@betatech You can’t. I had the same thought but I asked about scholarships being transferred and they said you’ll lose the scholarship if you transfer schools.
I got the information today, too!
22k in scholarships per year sounded great… and then I remembered I’m OOS, so I’d still be paying ~20k a year.
Anyone know how receptive RU is to negotiating?
@marshmallowpop I read through last years thread, and rutgers wouldnt negotiate for many of the people who called. But you could always try.
@Aly310 ah, that’s what I suspected.
I’ll try though.
S. received Presidential for SAS. We are in-state. Stats: 2400 SAT, 4.0 GPA, 1/400, 10 AP. We are very happy!
Got Trustee for $13k for SAS, Business, and the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. I also got the Henry Rutgers for $6k at SEBS. I was hoping for a bit more: 2280 SAT, 4.57 GPA, at least top 3% of class (school doesn’t officially rank), and a bunch of leadership and service. But I’m instate so if I were to go to Rutgers it would be very affordable.
I still haven’t heard from the honors college which is slightly concerning but a few of my classmates who don’t do quite as well as me in school have gotten in. They applied earlier than me (I applied close to the deadline), so I’m hoping that’s why I haven’t heard yet. Fingers crossed.
Just as a note, the honors program is different from the honors college. If you get accepted into one, there’s a good chance you wont get admission to the other.
@aly310 Could you please explain the difference or link me to someplace that explains it? There’s not much information online about it. I haven’t yet heard from either the college or program. I believe kids from my school got into the Program, not the College.
@yebhip “The Honors College and the Honors Programs are separate entities. Where the Programs will maintain their school-specific missions, the Honors College will draw students from across the undergraduate schools (including Arts & Sciences, Engineering, Business, Pharmacy, Environmental and Biological Sciences, and Fine Arts). Honors College students will have a distinctive first and second year curriculum based on a special mission course, hands-on learning opportunities, as well as dedicated Byrne and Aresty offerings. At the same time, Honors College and Honors Program students will engage with each other through a general Honors network of offerings, in particular, seminars and Honors sections of departmental classes. Honors College and Honors Program students will also have opportunities to interact through co-curricular and scholarly forums.”
Tbh I dont understand why it all isnt just one thing, it would make things easier .
Itsy bitsy Scarlet (3.5K) for SOE, SAS and Carr ($10K) SEBS (girl = minority?) - ACT 33 (35M, 34E), 3.9/4.6, 8 APs. Better offers out of state again this time around.
Are people being notified via email or through letters in the mail?
Intial notification is through email. It his week was the first wave of scholarships so there’s more to come. Not everyone received theirs.
