Scholarships

I applied on Nov 6 and got an acceptance to SAS honors by Dec (forgot exact date, but either early or mid-Dec). Does this mean I won’t be offered the Honors college since they already offered me SAS Honors? I am not sure how I got a response so quickly from them when others hear didn’t hear and applied early action. According to some of the posts, it sounds like if you were offered Honors program, then you can’t be offered Honors college.

@twostarssky‌ Rutgers admissions process is random so some people who applied later heard before others who applied early. Also yes, you wont be offered the honors college if you are offered sas. If you check in the admission thread, I posted a comment from the admissions counselor about this. Also if you look at the Presidential scholarship on Rutgers site, it says if you receive that scholarship then you’re in the honors college. But They will invite students from the Honors program only if their is space available in the honors college.

Received invite to Honors College today.

@njkidsmom‌ / @college799 - How did you get the notification; through email, mail, or status update?

My son received his invitation by US postal mail.

@dadof2s-We received by US mail about a week after scholarship notification. We are in state.

I was accepted to SAS Honors Program and just received the Honors College acceptance in the mail today so it is definitely possible.

I received my invitation to the honor’s college today in the mail! The only thing I am unsure about is that my letter mentions new scholarship offers with this wording “In further recognition of your achievements, we are also delighted to grant you a scholarship. (Gives me the link.) Congratulations on this additional, well-deserved distinction.” However, when I go onto the website the scholarships listed are the same ones I received a couple of weeks ago. Has this happened to anyone else? I’m thinking the website may not be updated yet but I suppose I could be misunderstanding the letter.

Did any of you receive admission to the honors college through the school of engineering?

@chncsy I received admission to the honors college through SOE, SAS, and SEBS

My son received for SAS & RBS but not for SOE. We know he won’t get in SOE because he got only Scarlett for SOE & Trustee for SAS & RBS. As per honors college.rutgers.edu, oneneeds to get either Presidential or Trustee scholarship to get into honors college.

Honorscollege.rutgers.edu

@dadof2s The SOE doesn’t offer presidential and trustee scholarships.

@francisl6697‌ Can I please get your stats?

got into soe honors but not sas honors. I always thought it was easier to get into sas honors than soe honors, anyone else in the same position

I got into honors college for SAS, RBS, and SEBS.

Can I please get the stats of someone who got into SOE honors?? @hope321

Same thing yeb, mine mentioned another scholarship, but the website didn’t show anything new. Maybe it was only referring to the original scholarship and this letter was the reminder to check it?

@Shunken Okay I think I’m going to email them to check. I’ll let you know what the response is.
