Has anyone heard of possible merit scholarships for out of state students at Florida? I know they are rare, but some may exist.

My stats are ACT 35, 4.0 UW GPA, 4.63 UF GPA, class rank 3/486

With fantastic stats like that I hope you applied for the Lombardi program. Other than that or NMF I don’t think UF gives much merit aid. Best of luck.

I though Lombardi was only for Florida residents?

Hmmm, the criteria on the site says: ([University of Florida Honors Program: John V. Lombardi Scholarship](http://www.honors.ufl.edu/lombardi/))

Nominees for this award will rank at or near the top of their class. Other criteria for selection include:

I took that to mean that OOS still had a shot, but this [University of Florida News - UF chooses eight students for Lombardi Scholars Program](http://news.ufl.edu/2009/05/12/lombardi-2009/) shows that all eight are in state. I guess you’re right

That’s unfortunate, but I guess it saves me the trouble of applying. Are you a National Merit Semifinalist? The scholarship amounts to just about full tuition for OOS.

No, I’m not nmsf which is unfortunate.
