scholarships

Yeah, I mean it could be different this year…but I know for a fact mine came in two batches. Good luck everyone!

amkappy and Ksp791. Discouraged here too. Loans, Parent Loans, Work Study, and Verrrrrrrry small grant online. Hoping some merit scholarships are not yet posted.

How much did everyone get for the Pepperdine Grant?

when i checked my awards today it had everything listed: grants, scholarships, work/study, and loans. im not sure why they would send out another batch of awards… does that mean everyones can change?

Didn’t receive the Regeants or Dean scholarship, but I did receive $39,000 in scholarships and the rest in loans!!! :open_mouth: XD XD XD XD

Well nuts. I don’t have any financial need, but I thought my scores are comparatively high so I was still hoping for (and my Dad would’ve appreciated) some merit scholarship. Wah wah wah

It’s weird bc I have a lot of financial need and I got all loans… Hoping and praying something works out!

Does anyone know what merit scholarships are available? My daughter was offered the Dean’s Scholar; are there others? Do all Dean Scholars receive the exact same amount or is it determined by need? How many are awarded?

Don’t know any specifics; I wasn’t even paying much attention to this school given its expense and our financial status this year, but our D just checked financial aid and it looks like she has a nice blend of scholarships, grants, and a little work study/loan $ available. She is so excited! She really did NOT want to go to our local community college.

I’m interested in finding out details, but I don’t have access to the information.

Is all the info online or does it come in the mailed packet?, because my mailed packet just had a letter, n the certificate,

MedalLily - the financial aid info in online

I, too, received a very small grant and huge amounts of loans (which I really don’t want to do). Unfortunately it is looking like Pepperdine will be out. Pretty surprised not to receive any of the larger merit scholarships. Congratulations to everyone!

I received a lot of grant and scholarship money. With around $15,000 in loans per year. Good, right?

Can everyone that received scholarship money let us know if you think you were also eligible for financial aid and did you check financial aid on your application.

Also, for anyone that received the Dean’s, can you tell us how much that is and is it per year or what?

i didn’t received the deans scholarship but i received like 42k in grants, 3k in workstudy, and 7k in loans. this is pretty awesome!
jibhamm- i was eligible for financial aid and checked it on my application.

Thanks MedalLily for the info.

MedalLily—I thought you declined Pepperdine last week? Changed your mind?

musiconthecoast- nope i didn’t decline pepperdine. i was just waiting on the financial aid. i didn’t think they were going to be so generous.

MedalLily congratulations on the financial aid!

YES!!! I’m covered, now I don’t have to worry about money and pepperdine. Thank you God!
