scholarships

I know it's more than just test scores and GPA's but in loose terms... what kind of ACT and GPA would be required for full ride?

Good luck! U of I doesn’t give a lot of scholarships. I know a girl with a 4.0 GPA, top of her class, at honors night, she was announced every 3 minutes for something new (best physics student, best math student, etc.) and a 35 on her ACT and she got a better financial package at the University of Chicago than U of I.

Don’t expect any full rides even if you have a perfect GPA and 36 ACT. Merit awards, and there are many, vary in size from $500 a year to full tuition (and there are not many full tuition scholarships) but generally do not include room & board or other costs. Most who get merit awards are in the $1,000 to $4,000 per year range
