Scholorship

Hi, I am a first semester freshman at a university with a full tuition merit scholarship right now. I was curious about if I were to transfer to UAH next semester, would I be able to recieve the merit scholarship equivelent at UAH (I believe it is the equivilent to the Presidential Foundation Scholarship at UAH)? I realize that it would only be good for 3.5 semesters. If this did not work, would I be able to not tranfer any of my credits from my current university and just apply as a first semester entering freshman?

Thank you!

Pick up the phone and call the admissions office. The will be very happy to discuss the best way to proceed for your situation.

Hello @Cokecocola ,

UAH Merit Tuition Scholarships and Presidential Foundation Scholarships are for students who have not attended any other institution, also known as “First Time Freshmen.” Once you apply to UAH, our system will show your attendance at another university and will not allow us to admit you as a First Time Freshman. However, once you have obtained 24 credit hours from your current institution, UAH has scholarships available for transfer students. Also, over 200 Competitive Scholarships are available to all admitted UAH students with one simple application (Priority Deadline: December 1st, 2015). You can find information on our Transfer and Competitive scholarships here: www.uah.edu/scholarships .

Best of luck

Ah, so first time freshman means just what it says, glad to have that clarification (duh
