<p>Can somebody enlighten me about the school calendar?</p>

<p>Ok, I know frosh begins next week!</p>

<p>Are there any holidays besides Thanksgiving (aka "Columbus Day" in USA)
When does the Fall term 2005 end (when will beloved son come home?)
When does Winter term 2006 begin?
Is there a week's vacation during Winter term?</p>

<p>Is any accomodation given to US students around the US celebration of Thanksgiving (the fourth Thursday of November, commonly celebrated as a 4-day weekend)</p>

<p>And also about Thanksgiving - I kind of don't think we US kids are granted any time off. I'm pretty sure we could skip our Thurs-Fri classes, but for most of us, that's probably 4 or 5 classes (i.e, not such a good idea). I think my parents are just going to come up that weekend and we'll all go out to dinner or something. Not exactly the most traditional Thanksgiving celebration, but it could become a fun new tradition...</p>
