I’m having difficulty choosing between these schools, so it’d be great if anyone can provide any suggestions. I’m an international student majoring in engineering. Thanks in advance!
University of Washington- Direct Admit Engineering
Lehigh University- P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science
UCSB: Electrical Engineering
UC San Diego: Undeclared (John Muir College)
UW is your best choice for public school. Lehigh is private and rural, so completely different from the rest of your list.
So you should pick from either a large public research university in the center of a metropolitan (UW) or a medium private university in the middle of nowhere (Lehigh).
Any more suggestions? Please keep them coming
If I were you, I would take UW’s offer and bust my ass until I was in Computer Engineering. But being in CE myself, I am clearly biased. The job prospects for someone graduating UW with a BS in Computer Engineering are very good. UW has some of the best AI related courses in the world, so if you specialize toward that field the prospects are insanely good.
UWash direct admit or Lehigh.
Lehigh will have smaller classes and more personal attention, plus you’re not competing with others to get into your chosen major.
UWash has the city of Seattle and international reputation.
Both are clearly elite.
