School (in FL) most likely to get you transferred

So i'm still in high school and for personal reasons wanna stay close to the area in which i currently live (Miami, FL) for a while.

That being said: I'm looking to get into somewhere like UF or even possibly GT, but, seeing as i wanna transfer to those schools in the near future after having stayed here for a bit, I was wondering what school would better my chances of getting accepted as a transfer student.

My choices right now are FIU or MDC.

Any opinions?

Hi Mike, I think Miami Dade has agreements with the 2 schools your talking about while FIU I am not sure. I’m pretty sure with an AA from Miami Dade you can transfer anywhere I have a friend who transferred from Miami Dade to UF without a problem and I transferred from Miami Dade to FSU. As far as Georgia Tech I am not sure but i am pretty sure Dade has an agreement with them about transferring credits.

bumpity bump

I know MDC has aggrements with many schools even IVys . Um as a transfer in the state system if u have the min. G.P.A set that year and there space your in(problem is schools like FSU and UF are jam packed and prolly wont have space) . i know for sure MDC has a program with GT for engineering. If u do the MDC thing look at the honors program ,they say its very good.

UF gives priority to all students that come from CC.

I transfered from FIU to UF though, so take it with a grain of salt.

and classes are easier at CC so you will have higher GPA and etc, easier to get into your school of choice.

im not familiar with UF, but when i attended a transfer session for GT the counselor told me it didnt matter if you came from a cc or Harvard as long as you met the requirements on their website.

USF in Tampa is a popular destination for transfers in Florida. [Transfers Homepage - Undergraduate Admissions at the University of South Florida](http://usfweb2.usf.edu/Admissions/Transfers/)
