Which one is easier to get into: The school of comm. or WCAS?

Also, how hard is it to get from one to the other if your interests change? Because I really, really think the study of communications would be amazing, but I'm thinking political science might be equally amazing, too.

Also, how easy is it to double major/minor at NU? I would lovelovelove to double major, or minor, in theatre there.

Poli Sci is not NU's strongest department... the quarter system makes it very easy to double major and/or minor, but I am not sure how easy it is to do with theatre, since that is a unique program. I would think WCAS and Comm are about the same to get into (generally), but the theater program itself is intense and competitive I believe.

The social policy program is also one of the best programs at NU. Many people who want to be pre-law are social policy majors in SESP. SESP actually has 4 really good programs that not many people at NU know about because it's the smallest school... but it's worth looking into.

Aahh dfleish that program sounds really interesting...however, it's probably a lot harder to get into than either comm. or wcas, and NU is already quite reachy for me haha.

You have just as good a chance at getting into SESP as you do WCAS/Comm, if not more. It's definitely not one of the harder schools to get into and is also known for having the highest GPA of all the schools (not saying the classes are easy, but it's a fact). It's nice being a small school, but one of the reasons is no one knows about it. It's not like 3757575 people apply and 300 get in... SESP takes the same proportion that apply as WCAS does, around there anyway. So I would definitely apply if the program interests you. Just be specific why the program/SESP is right for you.
