I took Spanish 1 in middle school, and I took Spanish 2 my freshman year of high school. I wanted to take Spanish 3 this year, but there is no longer a teacher for that course. I want to go to a top college, and I know that most of them want at least three years of a foreign language. My problem is that although I've been taking Spanish since the sixth grade. I don't feel like I know as much as I should so I don't think that I would of even been ready for Spanish III if they had it. Should I self study Spanish and take the AP test or SAT Subject Test? Or should I take a Spanish course online or something? If I should take it online, then what are some good programs?

Those lists assume that your high school offers three years, because (apparently) most high schools do. If your school only offers two years, you’re only expected to take two years.

You could take at a different school or community college

Depending on what school you go to or where you live, you might be able to take /free/ online classes. I wouldn’t go so far as to pay to take the course though.

If your school only offers 2 years of Spanish then colleges won’t expect more.
