My D applied to BU and sent her SAT scores in October. Then they sent a letter saying that they needed SAT II's also, which she took in October. We sent the grades in 11/8. Doin her due diligence and checking with each school if they have received all her information, she received an e-mail from BU saying they never received the SAT II grades. My question is this, how hard a time does the collegeboard give you in re-sending them? And will they send them quickly?

When you say "we sent the grades," do you mean that the CB sent them?
Because colleges will only accept socres sent directly from the CB. Did your D not put BU on her list of colleges to which the CB was supposed to send the scores?
I don't know how hard a time the CB will give you; you should call ASAP (try today!) and ask for her scores to be rushed.

Call the College Board. They should be able to give you the date the scores were sent. Then it's back to BU to see if they have the file.

If BU lost them, you may have to decide whether to pay to resend the scores, or wait and see if they can be found. Either way, be sure a note is put in your child's file that the scores are in transit.

If the students can go online and see their scores, why can't the colleges? How hard would it be for the students to give the colleges a code or a password so they could see these scores online? The Collegeboard is all about making money and making students jump through hoops rather than providing a useful, efficient service.

We had this happen in a tight time frame. We didn't try to negotiate the CB bureaucracy or figure out who didn't do what. We immediately faxed a copy of my kid's score report to the college in question and had CB rush an official set to the college in question (and every other college applied to that we couldn't absolutely confirm got them before).

Not worth screwing around with when it is decision time in the admission office.

I agree CB is a complete rip off, but those are the rules of the game.

Last year son had to have CB resend scores to one school that didn't receive the scores and his acceptance was held up due to this. CB resent the scores quickly. He had not checked to see that the school had received everything until he became aware that he should have heard something from them and then he called. That is why I recommend that kids follow up on every application they send in. Be proactive.

I would call CB and get a date when scores were supposedly sent and I would also call BU. When my son applied, they received some of his sent things and not everything-apparently it goes to several offices before it is in their official "folder". The admissions officer kept telling me to try back in a couple of days (this actually took about 12 days total) to see if it was received. Every school is different, but CB sends it via email and some schools open it weekly, some daily so it may be at BU but not exactly entered in your daughter's file. Check with both.
Also, once with my older child the college accepted something from the high school as long as they put the official stamp on it-saved us time and money. So you can ask if that is a possibilty too.

Are the scores online? In that case print the scores out, fax them to BU pronto and let BU know that you have asked the CB to rush the official copy of the scores (which you had paid for on 11/8). As well, ask the CB to rush the scores. If you have proof that you had paid the CB, all the better, but it might be best not to engage in a prolonged fight over this for the more important goal of having the scores to BU asap. Good luck!

Don't get mad at CB. It's usually not CB's fault, but CB is usually kind enough to re-send for free. Admissions offices always misplace stuff. Sometimes they don't even look carefully enough. It's much easier for them to say they don't have it than go the extra step and look again. Fax copy as suggested.

This was our experience as well. CB "rushed" the scores at no charge. As I recall, the phone menu at CB directed us to someone who handles just this sort of thing. I agree with the others who recommend that you provide the scores through fax or whatever, but do contact CB and have them "rush" at no charge to you.
