School selection (SMU,Texas A&M, BYU)

Hi I’m an international student who just got accepted Southern Methodist University, Texas A&M, and Brigham Young University. I’m thinking to major in accounting, and which school is the best option if I’m willing to get a job in the U.S.?

I think they are all very fine schools. You’ll find that BYU is very aligned with the Mormon Church. Which is not a bad thing but has some demographic and cultural differences that should be reviewed for an international student.

SMU is in the middle of the three imho as a bit more conservative but not ideological . And it’s a wonderful school.

A and M will be the most diverse. Also a wonderful school.

Texas as a state is very strong economically. Your problem will be the ability to work in the USA post grad. It’s not a guaranteed option by a long shot.

Depends on major and your interests to make a real recommendation.

Just thought you should have some idea of the general campus cultures you’ll be dropping into from overseas.

Academically probably SMU overall but experience of A and M would be fantastic too.

I would personally set BYU aside and focus on those two schools. Unless you happen to be a LDS family.
