<p>OK, this is not about attendance at all sports, but schools that have a reputation for strong school spirit which carries on long after graduation are Michigan, Notre Dame, and Syracuse.</p>
<p>As for attendance, Michigan has one of the largest football stadiums, tickets are impossible to get for ND, and Syracuse has the largest basketball arena.</p>
<p>Of all the schools I've visited, I've noticed that the 2 schools that have the most T-shirt shops near campus are Michigan and Syracuse. And of course, ND shirts are available everywhere. Maybe this is some sort of metric. ;)</p>
