School Supplies 2009-2010

i’m asian!

theReach, I agree, those G-2 black pens are all I use.

At Staples they didn’t carry the G-2 pens in red so I made the lady search and backroom and the entire store. They didn’t have it so I made them special order it for me : )

I have to use Pentel RSVP Med. in black or red.G2 and I’ll sit there and click them, plus I chew on pens, so I ruin the clickers quickly.

Sanford Onyx pens are great… so are Pilot Razor Point Marker pens  (on the pricey side though)

I do very minimalist organizing… 1 subject for each pocket of 3 folders and those smaller A5-ish notebooks for each subject. Better than a nasty heavy 3-ring binder where all the papers have to be hole punched and then fall out or hang out the edges! :D

haha i don’t use anything but looseleaf paper and pens. the papers always fall out of my binders anyways so i gave up on that. and notebooks…ehh they’re not my forte. yes call me unorganized…but thats just me =]

Sooo, I just went to staples and barnes and noble and bought allll the rest of my school supplies :] And guess what? Five-Star notebooks now have this amazing back. You know how when you put folders in binders they take up the whoooole space? Well, the five-star backs now have these little parts to them that pop out, so you just flip the notebook and instead the holes into the rings of your binder. I’m in love, since that pretty much leaves the rest of the rings free :]

I think I should post this on the “you know you’re a nerd when…” thread under “when you get excited about new modifications to school supplies” xD;

All I need is good quality binder paper and lots of pens in different colors.

I would have to disagree wholeheartedly. Those are my least favorite pens ever. I think I was traumatized after having to stare at them every Student Store shift as we had this giant supply of them.

x) But to each his own.

Planner = MUST-HAVE
Post-its/Flags are handy too

I have my own little system. I have a notebook, a section of a 5 subject notebook, and a 3" binder for each subject. I do problems from class and homework in the notebook, notes in the section of a 5 subject notebook, and anything that I don’t need for classes anymore, I’ll put in the 3" binder at home for later review for Mid-years and finals.

I also use pencils, a planner, and that’s pretty much it.

Mechanical pencils are the best. (Especially the yellow papermate ones.) Pens are alright. Wooden pencils are terrible. :K
I use a 1" binder for each subjest. For ones with alot of notetaking (like APUSH and APBio) I have a one subject spiral notebook to take notes in. Within each binder the front section is past notes and handouts, then there is a folder, then the back section is current notes and blank paper.
Our school gives us agendas every year which are calendars with spaces to write our homework. I use mine religiously.
I also use about 4 different colors of highlighters and pens to color code everything in my notes.

I am crazy about school supplies. Perfectionist that I am. lol XD But anyways this is what I have:

-An Accordion Folder for 5 of my classes
-A notebook for all 6 of my classes
-For Spanish I have an inch and a half binder and a folder because I have to put my workbook and textbook in it
*And all six of my classes have a different color and then supplies for multiple classes are in another color
-An inch binder with dividers for my extra curriculars
-Index cards
-Rubber bands
-TI-84 Plus Silver
-Highlighters in different colors
-Color Pencils
-Graph Paper
-Colored Pens
-Blue and black pens
-And my favorite thing ever Bic Mechanical Pencils
-Whiteout
-A folder notebook thing with 8 pockets to keep at home for notes and stuff so I have them for finals and AP tests

And then prep books for all of my AP classes and help books for chemistry and math. Different books for Spanish. Plus, all the stuff I have at home laptop, more pens, 3 hole punch, etc.

I have a question: do you guys know that kind of folder that’s like an accordion folder, except it has a flat bottom and more pocket to keep at a desk or floor or something? It also has a handle? I saw it at Barnes and Noble the other day, but I don’t know what it’s called :o Help, anybody?

Somewhere along the way, I became so disorganized. At one point I had all different notebooks/folders for each subject and now it turned into one notebook with every single paper and note in it. I usually use pens rarely pencils unless on math tests. I also have the strangest OCD when it comes to supplies like I CANNOT write with a pen without a cap (hate retractable pens), if I’m using a no. 2 pencil I’ll sharpen it every two seconds, and I refuse to write on any kind of notebook paper that does not have college-ruled lines. lol.

what kind of notebook is recommended? 1 Subject or 3 Subject or 5 Subject and what brand Five star or those 15 cents walmart deals.

i dunno what i use. (we stock up in the “school supply box” even DURING the school year.)

crucial things i have already:

binders (have like 8 of them already)
pencils (plus more stocked up) and pens
laptop
backpack
my ever increasingly-trusty TI 89

stuff i need to get:
USB flash drive. (lost 2 so far in my lifetime… :frowning: damn diminutive things.)
clothes. (yes, clothes. essential for your appearance and so on…)

anyways, i notice i am picky when it comes to notebook paper. I prefer the thick, quality notebook paper, not the kind that makes pens screech like britney spears in labor. (ya know-the horrible quality paper.)

i am a FREAK about school supplies. my mom spends over 200 a year for mine, but this year, she will spend more.

Metallika, it’s called an organizer, haha

Seriously?! Bu bu but…I look that up and all I get are those planner thingies. ;; Well, and those wire things, but that’s not what I was thinking of :o
