I believe all school teachers are nice and yearn to teach, thus becoming a teacher that earns meagle amounts of money to atleast pay for the bills.
Really? Why would they want to get paid poorly by us, taxpayers. Its not as if they finally earn their Bachelors Degree, then become an official teacher desperate to torment us...mental suffering, etc. eheh.. right?

Because they love it.

Take it from someone who wants to be a teacher someday, the satisfaction even I feel when I can get one of my friends to understand something that they previously didn't is incredible.

My french teacher said that he became a teacher because he liked the fact that no two days would be the same. He always tells our class that "you have to do something that you enjoy." He enjoys teaching, and his class is awesome. :)

My high school physics teacher said he had 2 reasons for becoming a teacher:

June and July

XD that's a good one. :)

Although I believe most teachers want to teach (though some have a funny way of showing it) I think some became a teacher as a backup career. For instance, one of my teachers dropped out of medical school and became a science teacher.

Exactly.

Well, here it's July and August, but same difference.

You can tell why a teacher became a teacher usually, by what time they leave in the afternoon. If they walk out of the building with you at 2:30 and zip straight home, they became a teacher for the easy work hours, and the summers, weekends, and holidays off. If they stick around to be club advisors or coaches or tutors, or just to sit in the classroom preparing lesson plans, they became a teacher to teach. Plain and simple. Same usually goes for when they get papers back to you. If it's the next day, they like what they do and they bring it home with them. If it's the next month, they could care less.

Unfortunately some teachers like talking to students too much and go off on tangents in class, off subject. It happens a lot at my school, I think.

and some teachers are crazy and need to not be a teacher. this year a friend and i had to talk to our counselor and principal about our teacher cuz she has issues.

We have pretty good teachers. Our teachers are all pretty young and WANT to teach. They get off on tangents but they all relate to life.

At my middle school though, my teachers and I had some issues because it was a Catholic school and I dared to question Catholic teachings. Oh well.

The way one of my teachers explained the bad teachers was "They work all their lives working on getting into their dream college. The only problem is, once they get there they have no idea what to do and end up just becoming a teacher."

lol my old math teacher said that same thing about july and august
but there r some teachers at my school who look like theyre there grudgingly

most of my teachers suck.....just wanted to put that out there.
