School transcript

Hey! I'm an international applicant so I'm not that familiar with the process of applying. My question is: if I submit the commonapp with my grades reported by my school counselor on the appropriate form, do I still have to submit an official translation of my certificate (in Poland they give us a document listing all the grades earned during the year).

Cheers

Maybe others will back this up, but yes, you must still have something official sent from your school.

Thank you very much! How do I send this, if it’s on paper and all the other materials are sent on-line? Do I have to scan this and send through commonapp?

Cheers

You need to send your school transcript by mail. I had sent a copy from of the official transcript and the translated English transcript

Thank you! I’m confused though, because I read somewhere they say that I can’t send my application online and on paper at the same time (I mean, I can’t mix the documents).

Cheers

I am an international student too. I found the college process very difficult with so many things, and undocumented. Many of american high school students receive these steps from their high school counselors. Here in my country RO, my English teacher doesn’t even know what are the steps in my applications. I posted a question one week ago, what do we need to send via mail to Harvard.

You can view the topic here http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-university/1401970-what-else-i-need-send-mail-harvard-admission-office.html

From what I read on College confidential, I found that the admission officers are enough smart to fix all of the applications.

If you still apply to early, you need to use DHL to send your files to your Early choice university

Cheers and Godspeed!!

Thank you very much  God Bless.

You can’t mix YOUR documents. The teach rec, and school report are different. They can be sent however the person/school wants to send them, regardless of how you submitted yours.

That clarifies a lot. Thank you guys!

I take that back. I just realized, if you submit by paper, then you don’t give your teachers/school the option to submit electronically.

But if I submit my part online, then it’s ok for the school to submit theirs by paper?

^^^ yes it is.

Thank you all :)

My school does the same, so seems legit :D
