Hey! I’m a freshman soon to be sophomore in high school. My dad wants to move where we currently live to out in the country. He found a house out super far in the country. I looked into the school I’d go to and I found it’s a tiny school of 300 kids with 0 APs and like 6 dual credit courses. Will I be affected negatively if I don’t have the opportunity to take any APs?
No. Colleges look at you in the context of your school. I would take as many dual credit courses as possible. I hope your move goes great. Honestly, I would try and focus on developing ECs in sophomore year, because I believe that starting in junior year is too late (if you want high leadership).
Oh good, thank you very much. I’m gonna try and join the clubs and sports that I want to right as I get there because it’d be easier to make friends. It’s such a small school- about 300 kids.
@CavsFan2003 I’m guessing like 75 per class then? That is very small. Let us know how it goes!
Yeah it goes in context of your school. I took 0 APs but ended up with like 13 DE classes from CC. Accepted to a great University.
Just work with what you got and good luck!
