Schools for an Average Student

Please suggest me some schools in each criteria because I am terribly confused on my "potential". I feel my hopes may be a little to high as well. I prefer a diverse school in the city with some recognition and at least 8000 students.

My Stats:
Rising Senior, African American in NJ
GPA 3.7 weighted( B+) maybe a 3.3 UW?
SAT: 2030( 600CR 740 Math 690 W)( Retake assuming a 2100)
SAT 2 680 on Bio M and 680 on Math 1( retake in November)
Mediocre Extracurriculars, 2 year Job, volunteer hours, certified lifeguard/ first aid

By end of senior year, 5 honors classes and AP psych, AP Bio AP Sat AP Macro/ AP Micro/ AP Environment.
Rank unsure: But probably only top 1/3.

Schools I really like. Please Chance( Most likely all reaches)

NYU, George Washington, Binghamton, UMiami, U Maryland College Park, Penn State, Boston U, Rutgers.

Thanks guys please suggest more for me please :/
Signed, Confused and Desperate

You are prob in at Binghamton but it does not fit your criteria…(city)…

How about UPittsburgh?

You are only average on CC.

Thanks guys! Yea I meant average on CC haha. I prefer not to go lower than Rutgers b/c it is a safety school cause apparently 70% of NJ gets in. And with at least a 3.0 some money is granted. And I rather not pay more for less. bumppp

NYU and those out of state publics won’t give much financial aid.

How much will your parents pay?

Are you a likely National Achievement Finalist? What was your PSAT?

I think you need to replace some of those OOS safeties and NYU with …

1) Schools that give great aid.

2) Schools that will give you huge merit for stats

However, if your parents will pay for wherever you go, then keep your list. :)
