Schools for Pre-Med

Hi, I'm a junior in high school and just got my SAT results; 600 in Reading 740 Math and 620 writing (total of 1960). I really want to get into an accelerated program for pre-med, but just a school with a good pre-med program is good too. Another thing is I doubt I'd receive any financial aid so I was hoping for some school suggestions which wouldn't be too expensive or ones I'd receive a good scholarship at where I'd have to pay only sub $10,000. Please evaluate my score and help me think of colleges/universities to apply to! Thanks you!

Hmm consider SUNYs and CUNYs if you want cheap tuition and good premed programs. Though they don’t have accelerated premed programs i think but you can call the admissions office and ask or look on their website. Check out these… Macaulay honors at… (Hunter college, City college, Brooklyn College, Queens College). If you get into Macaulay, it’s free! tuition covered plus you get a free laptop and other perks. for SUNYs, Stony brook is the strongest for premed, buffalo has decent science programs, Binghamton is alright.

Thank you for the advice! I haven’t actually thought about Macaulay honors actually but I think i’ll apply to it as well!

NYIT, Sophie Davis and Hofstra all have accelerated pre-med. Good luck!
