Schools lacking football teams

<p>At some schools, not having a football team creates an atmosphere lacking school spirit because the athletics are often the only thing that unites the entire student body.</p>

<p>However, at other schools, a sport like basketball or lacrosse takes the place of football, and all the fanfare that is normally associated with the game still takes place.</p>

<p>My school lacked a football team and we had very little spirit in the fall. However, we had a very good basketball team and as a result my school was much more fun in the winter! I have since transferred because I want spirit all year round :)</p>
