I love Tufts, Middlebury, and Macalester. I'm looking for alternatives to use as matches or safeties (Even though Georgetown, Brandeis, and Claremont schools aren't safeties). What can you tell me about the following schools?

I want to go into International studies, study abroad a lot, be around ppl who want to make a difference in the world, a bit liberal artsy, diverse, and be able to be a happy dork. I would prefer to be close to, but not in a city (like how Tufts is 20 min from Boston)

quick stats: 2020 sat (610CR that I don't know how to bring up, 700M, 710W)
subject test scores not in yet
GPA: 9th 3.25, 10th 3.5, 11th 3.67, 12th 3.85
very good ecs (for example, very involved in refugee community in hometown) and recs
creative/unique but interesting essay that shows my interest across the globe

I'm considering:

Georgetown University-I'm worried it isn't as liberal artsy as I want. Thoughts?
Lewis and Clark College-I really like this choice
University of Denver-I know the grad program is great, what about undergrad?
Dickinson College- I thought it was in the middle of nowhere and very white? Correct or no?
Goucher College-I heard they had connections w/ Johns Hopkins. Know anything else?
Claremont schools- which one?
Brandeis University-also kinda in middle of nowhere but near Boston. Don't know much about it.
American University

Can you give me more info on these schools or answer any of my questions? I would also appreciate if you have any other suggestions.
Thanks!

First of all, three bumps in an hour is kind of silly, particularly at this time of the night, right? Second, “what can you tell me about the following schools?” is a terribly broad approach. We don’t know what you already know, and whether and to what extent you’ve done research. CC is a great resource, but it’s not a substitute for you own efforts. You do have a few very specific questions about some schools, and those might be better directed to the individual forums for those colleges–in fact, just reading through those forums will be useful for you overall.

Now that I’ve scolded you a bit, I’ll say you should definitely look into American University, which fulfills many of your criteria and looks like it could be a match for your credentials (though you really need to find a way to bring up that CR score, if only to boost your ability to analyze complex reading material, a skill you’ll need in your chosen area). I’ll also offer the opinion that Georgetown is a high reach for you (and not “liberal artsy” at all), and Brandeis is a reach (though somewhat “liberal artsy” for a university).

I second American (and the first comment…you do know two posts in two minutes is going to do nothing to bump up the thread right? it just makes people not want to respond). I’d also recommend UMaryland-College Park. It’s probably a bit bigger than you want but it’s near DC which is super nice for an IR major. I’m applying there as a safety and to American, Georgetown, Pomona and CMC (as well as others but those are the ones you mentioned that I’m going for) so hopefully UMD could be a decent fit for you too. You probably want to start looking for financial safeties as well, like your state flagship- in addition to schools you know you can get into, you need schools you know you can afford just in case aid doesn’t come through the way you want it to.

Sorry about all the excessive bumps I’m new to the site and thought I needed to keep it alive in order to get any responses, but I didn’t mean to annoy you guys. I appreciate the suggestions. I will definitely research those and see what I think. Thank you for your input.

@nuggetsofjoy Found this thread and wondering where you ended up! Your list above is strikingly similar to our son’s and we haven’t started visiting schools yet. Any advice?
