I know Oxford does, LOL, and Claremont McKenna.

Are there any others?

Woot! I thought that sounded sweet too.

It is an Honors program at CMC, so even if you get in, you aren't locked in with a spot. They also have it at Pomona, not honors, so you can just get it.

Not sure where else they have it.

Chicago????

Does Chicago actually offer that as a major??

UPenn
School of Arts & Sciences - University of Pennsylvania

Yale offers a somewhat similar Ethics, Politics and Economics Major
Philosophy, Politics and Economics - Denison University

Denison
Philosophy, Politics and Economics - Denison University

Duke & UNC

Chicago does not offer PPE.

Also,

Don't limit your search to just schools offering PPE. UK Unis like Oxford offer this major because you are locked into a major hardcore in the British education system. There is no "well, I'm a math major but also want to dabble in archaeology". PPE is the closest that you can get to a liberal arts, "broad", American Education.

States side, its perfectly doable to go to any University and take classes in all three, double major, major and minor, ect. The whole idea of joint degrees isn't as necessary at US schools.

EDIT- I'm not advocating that you don't go for PPE (I think its an awesome program and one that I have looked into) I just want you to realize that you can get a PPE education pretty much anywhere with the constituent majors.

Interesting points, davnasca. Thankyou.

I did check Chicago, and indeed there is no PPE major. Duke's is a certificate program.

I guess it's just rarer than I thought. Of course, the availability of PPE for me is just a perk, not a necessity.

Yeah it isn't really necessary to do that as a major ... here at northwestern, there are plenty of political theory/philosphy classes in the poli sci department, and tons of classes that overlap between politics and economics, and i'm guessing that's typical of most schools. i wouldn't choose a school based on whether they had a PPE major -- rather, i'd look at the strength of those individual departments at each school, as well as the class offerings within those departments.

As has been said, CMC and Pomona both offer PPE majors. You might be able to do an off-campus major from the other Claremont schools, also (most notably Pitzer and Scripps). I don't know the details...if you could apply to the CMC program, or if you'd have to major through Pomona, or what. I'm not even 100% sure it's possible, although it should be (esp. through Pomona).

Just something to check into if you're interested.
