Schools with flexible BFA in theatre programs?

What schools in the US have flexible BFA in theatre/acting that allows for double majoring? For example, NYU has a flexible program that lets you do double majors/minors outside of theatre.

My daughter has a BFA in Acting and a BA in French from UMBC in Maryland. She did start college with many AP credits (all accepted) and took 18-21 credits every semester while in college. She studied abroad for a short 3-week session in January because that wouldn’t have fit for an entire semester. It got a little tight toward the end when there are very specific requirements left for each major and only one section of the class available, so very little flexibility. But she did it!

Hi there! The BFA Acting Program at Michigan State University definitely allows for this kind of flexibility! I myself am a current Junior BFA Actor with two minors (Musical Theatre and Arts and Cultural Management) and actually began my freshman year as a double major with a BA in Business, but changed it just recently! A lot of my peers have double majors such as: Psychology, English, Social Relations and Policy, Media and Information, General Management, Marketing, and even Pre-Med! A lot of BFA Actors in our department also have various minors such as: Musical Theatre, Dance, Filmmaking, Arts and Cultural Management, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Spanish/Italian/Other language, Women and Gender Studies, and more. Here is a link to our departments website where you can find information about our majors and minors offered! https://theatre.msu.edu/undergraduate-studies/

I hope this helped!!
Best,
Isa (current MSU Acting student!)
